Frameset sold separately: the price row of Scott's North America page for the High Octane 1 lists $2204.99 for the frame and rear shock (captured 2004-11). The price row reads "$4199.99 / $2204.99 frame & shock"; the page publishes no separate frameset spec (its Rear Shock row, "Fox DHX 4.0 / Adjustable Pro-Pedal / External rebound adjustment", describes the complete bike), so only the frame material is stored. Model year 2005: this is the range scottusa.com showed from September 2004 to August 2005 (between the 2004 range and the "2006 bike website" Scott announced on 2005-09-01); the page itself prints no year. Frame material: the Frame row reads "High Octane- Alloy 7005 DB DH geometry carbon subframe", an alloy main frame with a carbon subframe, stored as aluminum (the main frame).
