What's my bike worth?

Choose the brand, model and year. We start from the launch price in our catalog, age it with the used market curve and adjust for condition. Guidance, not an appraisal.

How the band is built

  • Bikes lose roughly 10 to 45 percent of retail value in the first year, depending on spec level and brand. Entry bikes and heavily discounted models sit at the steep end, sought after models at the gentle end.
  • After year one, values fall roughly 7 to 10 percent per year.
  • Condition moves the number inside that range: a like new bike keeps about 95 percent of the age adjusted value, excellent about 90, good about 75, fair about 55, and a bike sold for parts about 30.
  • Where VeroBike members have completed sales of the same model in the last year we show the count and median so you can see what people actually paid.

Figures are from third party analyses of used bike sales. Rare, discontinued or collectible bikes can defy the curve, and a bike sold at a deep discount depreciates from that street price rather than from MSRP.
